Summer 2024 Bookings Open
Hello friends of Oakwood Stables, just to let you know we are now taking bookings for the summer 2024 season which will run from Sunday June 16th - Sunday September 7th, 2024.
Courses offered include;
New Arena
We are all looking forward to jumping in our brand new all weather surface arena complete with full course of competition standard showjumps and our new improved cross country course now has a range of fences suitable for all standards of young riders.

Our focussed programmes are suitable for individuals of all ages that are interested in learning how to ride. You can trust our Horse Sport Ireland qualified coaches will prepare a tailored approach and training plan to help you achieve your horse sport goals.
Young Riders
We enjoyed a super weekend away at Cavan Equestrian centre for the October young riders show. Oakwood Stables competitors included Sofie Kruhl Jensen, Lauren Codd and George O’ Conner who are all happy and confident making the transition from ponies to juniors in 2020.

SJI Mackey Bar 1
Well done to all of our students who recently completed their SJI Mackey Bar 1 - Award. Congratulations to Allison Flynn, George O’ Conner, Lauren Codd, Ava Codd, Emilie O’Brien and Lucy O’ Brian. We will begin working towards SJI Bar 2 - Awards from January.

Halloween Senior Training
Dates for our Halloween Senior Training are from the 31st October to the 2nd of November. The course includes advanced showjumping techniques and cross-country tuition. From 10.00 am each morning - cost €150. Don't forget to bring a packed lunch and a change of clothes. Places are limited....
