Intermediate & Advanced Riders

This course is for the more advanced rider with a view to enhancing competition performance.

 

This course is for the more advanced rider with a view to enhancing competition performance, ideally suited to competitive children, juniors under 18 and young riders under 21. 

The riders will be offered the opportunity of training at Oakwood Stables and for those specialising in Showjumping, a chance to gain valuable competition experience at top show venues. For riders who wish to specialise in cross country riding, we can offer training at Oakwood Stables and specialist training grounds in the Wicklow area.

All aspects of competition training for the rider and pony/horse will be covered, including fitness, preparation, and warm up, course walks, strategy, jump-off technique, goal setting and confidence building. We will also study course plans and rules / regulations for various competitions. Individual itinerary designed to suit each rider, to include an action packed week of training and competition, video diary and student progress report.

A minimum stay of two weeks would be beneficial and an individual programme will be designed to nurture and explore talent and maximise potential. There are some dates available that could include travelling to a bigger show to train and compete over a few days, how exciting?
